The Crisis in Price Discovery

 We are confronted with a crisis in price discovery that exists immediately at the point of the Economic Singularity and progressively grows worse.

Essentially, now, price = utility x scarcity as discovered in market operations.

At the point of the Economic Singularity, robots making robots, scarcity becomes less and less significant in the manufacturing context. It is reduced to resource scarcity and, if that is successfully addressed by asteroid mining, that will become progressively more trivial.

Thus price will then equal utility plus an overhead constant which is a design, an IP, economy like nothing seen before now. Industrial espionage moves to the fore as the international economy goes full bore spy vs spy.

I have heard, out of the go fast and break things milieu, that patents and copyrights are for little people, for losers. This cannot stand. These IP protections are the basis of the new world economic order which will emerge after the Economic Singularity is reached.
