The Argument -
Given the assumptions and first principles, the argument for the form of a contemporary metaphysics falls naturally to hand. The first condition of existence that must be accounted for in any treatment of innovation such as we are experiencing is brain plasticity. Brain plasticity is the ability of the brain to physically adjust to changing conditions.
Since Einstein's 1905 paper on relativity we have been inundated with difficult concepts with a necessity for understanding. That is an impossible task. Thus we live in a age of Pavlovian breakdowns, of exceeding brain plasticity, and of therapeutic retreats and reengagement. There is no question that AI raises the entry level for socioeconomic participation while lowering the bar to full participation potentially. That pressure on the brain would be greatly reduced by a UBI rationally financed by licensing AI driven robots and a sense of temporary classes and economic mobility.
While a UBI levels the brain plasticity playing field and legitimizes the selective nature of markets to form elites we do have prejudices against powerful elites as a lesson of history. The ethical market surround requires intervention to counteract this natural disequilibrium and the market requires an ethical surround to function for the good of society.
The market naturally selects an elite class of people possessed of a talent in demand and utility. This class naturally selects a support class, a sort of bureaucracy logically implied by elites and market operations, a class defined by credentials, checks and jobs. The market also deselects a class of outsiders reduced to predatorially feeding on markets and market classes. This is an evolutionary dynamic and results in a evolving biomass when it functions in equilibrium and proper intervention.
